Winemaker Dinner with Silvano Bolmida

Silvano Bolmida will be here on Friday, May 8 with a bevy of Barolos, a beautiful Barbera, and a Langhe Nebbiolo that, sadly, does not begin with B—so there the alliteration must end.

Mark and Francis have been admiring his wines since 2014, so it was a real treat to taste through them when he came to visit us back in October. This dinner has been in the making since that day.

Silvano and his wife Paola started the winery as a garage operation in 1999. We love the wines they produced as garagistes, but since moving into their new modern winery in 2021, things have only gotten better!

With slow, lengthy fermentations and extended skin macerations, Silvano makes old-school Barolo. These wines love food, and the chefs have outdone themselves to make them sing.
